Ok, today.. few of us participated in the KL Car Free Run. It’s an effort done by DBKL to promote greener city and joinly effort to reduce the cause of global warming (i.e. cars emission). This is a monthly event, where every first sunday of the month, they will close certain roads in CBD for 2 hours, from 7am – 9am. Around this time, joggers, cyclist, those with roller blades, skateboard etc are free to roam the city without having the headache of motocar traffic. The tagline for this campaign is: Go Green Car-Free Morning.
Below are the route that involved in the closure. It stretch to about 6km :
- Jalan Raja Laut,
- Jalan Sultan Ismail,
- Jalan Ampang,
- Jalan P. Ramlee,
- Jalan Pinang,
- Jalan Raja Chulan,
- Jalan Imbi,
- Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman
I woke up early, drove to KL Sentral.. parked and take the LRT to Masjid Jamek and meet up with my other running buddy with his kids at DBKL. From there, the Mayor flag off the run around 7.30am. Below are some of the snapshots.
